Founder of Fineline Tattoo (1976) and holder of the first tattoo license issued when tattooing became legal in New York City. A fine artist with a Master's degree who exhibited sculpture in 1970s SoHo galleries, he became a leading American tattoo artist renowned for his draftsmanship and original drawings. He mentored his son Mehai from age 10, and the two worked together for 25 years. (Emeritus.)
