Kara Munro

About

Kara Munro creates colorful neotraditional and new school tattoos with heavy influence from botany and the natural world. She is a New England-born and raised artist who graduated with an illustration degree from Maine College of Art in 2015. She grew up in rural Vermont and, since then, has been attached to nature and the creatures around her. Pet portraits, jeweled animals, flora pieces, and cheeky literary and cinematic tattoos are her jam. Color is a big component of her tattoo work, but she also works with black and gray compositions. She began apprenticing in 2015 and began tattooing in 2016.
